Browns Valley, March 19 -- Word has been received here that Opal Johnson "Nee" Hadley of DuPont, Colorado but formerly of this place died on Monday evening March 13 at 6. The deceased had been in failing health for almost a year her illness developed tuberculosis which was the cause of her death. Opal daughter of Elwood and Lizie B. Hardy was born July 5,, 1881 she was united in marriage to Harry Johnson of Dupont June 15, 1904 besides her husband she is survived by two children Dorothy 11 and Richard Jordon 5 one-half, one brother and a heart broken mother. Her father and sister Marguerite preceded her in death. The husband and the lonely mother and brother have the sincerest sympathy of all their friends in their sad bereavement. Death has entered this home the 3rd time since they moved from this vicinity the father and husband having passed away but a few weeks ago. Tho cast down you are not forsaken, tho afflicted not alone. God didst give and God hath taken, blessed Lord "Thy will be done!"

Browns Valley March 17 -- Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Opal JOHNSON of DuPont, Indiana She had been in poor health for almost a year and tuberculosis was the final cause of her death.  Mrs. Johnson was born and raised here. She is survived by her husband, mother and two children.
